Authorization for the Use of Multimedia Material

Almost everyone now carries a cell phone with a camera. But just because you can film doesn’t always mean you can just hit the button to photograph or record a video. There are situations, especially in the business world, where you need to obtain authorizations from those you want to film. The following is a standard form for you to use (in Spanish and English). You may not realize it, but taking this extra step can protect you from future legal action. It also tells your subjects that you are a responsible professional.

Yo (el abajo firmante), doy sin compensación, consentimiento a [Nombre de Compañía], y sus empleados, y representantes de filmarme, hacer grabaciones de video, de audio y/o fotografiarme a mí, a través de cualquier medio como resultado de mi participación en la filmación de:

 Por este medio le concedo los derechos exclusivos de editar, publicar, difundir y usar o diseminar todas o cualquier parte de las grabaciones y mi voz, retrato e imagen contenidas dentro de ellas, sin condición ni restricción.

 He leído el comunicado/acuerdo antes de poner mi firma a continuación, y garantizo que entiendo completamente su contenido.
